So you lifted your Gen 1 Tundra or Sequoia? You may be experiencing split boots, or creaking joints from your old well seasoned CV. We have put over 300k miles on first gens and have ran many of the offerings. By far the longest lasting and secret weapon was the Toyota OEM CV with Porsche 930 inner boot, with inner CV cup cut and high angle outter boot. This accommodates lifts around 1.5in-2.5in (lifts beyond 2.5” will cause premature wear and potential boot splits). What sets this apart from other offerings? Quality and warranty. Fully overhauled genuine OEM Toyota CV Core with refreshed internals/bearings/cages, ball bearings, completely inspected and reassembled with care. 6 Month warranty on boot splits for lifts under 2.5in for manufacture defects you must check your boot clearance and position upon installing failure to do so will void warranty. All internals completely refreshed outer painted with high solids black.

This product is not worth the price listed. The “Toyota OEM CV”is a used junkyard CV covered in rust, wear marks and dents. It is then “complimentary painted” in an attempt to hide the true quality of the part. You can build a better product for in your garage for the pricing of shipping. Do not expect similar quality to that of factory, this is a used junkyard axle rebuilt by an amateur. Customer service is lacking with responses only over email, only after 5pm and at the pace of 1-2 emails a day. I would steer clear of this product unless the price is updated to reflect the quality. Due to my current life situation I had to hold on this product and will update a review for the timeline of failure.
Our product description clearly states that these are overhauled/modified Toyota CV axles - (product is built using Toyota OEM cores that are fully disassembled, inspected, refreshed with new wear components, rebooted w/ high angle, and reassembled complete with new dust shields). At no point are these represented as brand new Toyota CVs.
Through years of testing and over 100,000 miles on our own vehicles, this combination has proven to be one of the most reliable options available for lifted first gen Tundras/Sequoias. We have 100s of these CV in service with folks experiencing great results.
Our records show that every email was answered promptly, with the first one being responded to within 10 minutes even though it was “afterhours”. All other emails were answered same day, typically within hours. We work hard to provide timely assistance while processing hundreds of orders and inquiries each month. During the day we are heavily invested in building customer parts and getting them shipped.
We respect your opinion, but expecting a brand-new Toyota CV when purchasing a product explicitly advertised as an overhauled Toyota OEM CV w/ high angle boot is not an error on our end.
Clamps on outboard boots started leaking grease on both sides. I had to replace them with Oetiker style as they come with cheap tension style clamps. Customer service from Lance is mediocre at best. I seem to be the only one having this issue but it is disappointing because of the price for the axles.

Just to clarify, the parts you ordered are designed specifically for 2000–2006 Tundra and 2001–2007 Sequoia applications. You mentioned you were installing them on a 1997 Tacoma with a long travel setup to address issues you were experiencing with other axles.
Because this is a custom application outside of the intended vehicle fitment, we’re unable to provide guidance or warranty coverage for this setup.
We have great results with parts installed on correct vehicle application.
