A common breaking point is the metal on the doors where the door check / stop attaches; from repeatedly catching the door flying open, the metal begins to crack and buckle, eventually failing entirely.
These reinforcement plates bolt over the existing hinge to prevent this from happening, or from worsening. Made of high quality stainless steel to prevent rusting/corrosion.
Available for Single Cabs/Access Cabs, and Double Cabs/Sequoias; Double Cabs come with 4 plates for all 4 doors, Access Cabs and Single Cabs come with 2 plates for both front doors and nuts that thread properly on certain years with short studs.
If your door stops have completely rusted out or broken through, there is a weld in option that includes 1 plate of heavy gauge metal to be welded in place as a permanent fix. Weld in plates are 3/16” thick, and are slightly oversized to allow you to cut to fit your door. Competent welder/fabricator should weld these in as door steel is thin.
If you have problems installing the rear reinforcement plates, this video helps show the process.

Super easy install on my 06 DC. I installed new rear door checks at the same time. Fast shipping...as always.
The parts came quickly, were clearly labeled and work well. Buyers should know, the set of 4 plates for the Tundra double cab do NOT come with replacement low profile nuts. The replacement nuts only come with the set of 2 plates. I wish the company would either throw the nuts all the packages, or allow for a la carte purchase of the low profile nuts.
Hey Josh,
Reason for low profile nuts being included with the AC Tundra is the studs at times are to short and need them. The Double Cab Tundra studs allow proper engagement so low profile nut is not needed. Thanks for feed back and glad they worked well for you!

A week since the repair and my door close like it’s brand new. Completely covers the cracks that we forming. feels brand new. Awesom product.
Thank you Fre33 Lance Fab for creating a solution for a common problem I would recommend these to any of my 1st Gen Tundra friends. Only recommendation I can give it would be nice if you could paint or powdercoat the plates. Other than that easy install! Great quality
Quality laser-cut steel plates. Perfect fitment. Primed and painted prior to installation. Installation of both the LF and RF reinforcement plates took about 15 minutes. Highly recommend for door check repair and/or as a preventative measure to guard against potential damage. Minimal investment to prevent door check repair/welding headaches.
